Don’t Be Left Out - Get Counted !
The Census is a very important civic engagement that requires your active participation. It affects everything you will need while living in the United States. In fact here is what President Obama said about it.
For example, did you know that according to the 2000 Census, about 11.1% of all Registered Nurses in the US are ethnic Africans?
Would you like to get more in-depth statistical data like that? Then be sure to fill out Question #9 when you receive your Census Questionnaire and mark it: Black - African or African American, or Caribbean, or Afro Latino, etc.
Remember, the Census is not about your Nationality or your Immigration Status !!!!
Please find below Census Instructions you can Download for select official African languages. PLEASE NOTE: the below attachments are not the official questionnaires. The Census Bureau will mail you the form by April 1, 2010. DO NOT delay in returning the questionnaire - unless you want the government to come visit your home.
